Japan’s Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) has reportedly inked a contract to develop gas turbine generators to be used in combined-cycle (GTCC) power plant for A UAE project. The 2,400-megawatt power plant will be developed in the Emirate of Fujairah in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and is anticipated to begin operations in 2023.
Sources cite that MHPS has agreed to supply three M701 JAC gas turbines and auxiliary equipment through Samsung C&T Corporation, which is the lead contractor of the power plant. The company also inked an LTSA (Long Term Service Agreement) for the project.
