In a bid to strengthen competitiveness in the digital era, Fujitsu Limited has reportedly announced its plans to introduce a company-wide DX project named ‘ Fujitra’ aimed at a wide-ranging reevaluation and shift in business processes, corporate culture, and organizations as well as services, products, and business models.
Sources cite that Fujitsu is planning to invest as much as 100 billion JPY in this project to boost digital transformation. Through this project, the company will boost digital transformation within the Fujitsu Group across different regions and units. The firm will introduce extensive changes, ranging from new approaches to the development and growth of a business to streamlining talent management, internal processes, and working environment through digital.
Through this project, the company will be focusing on implementing and developing several frameworks, promotion of digital transformation based on feedback from employees and customers, and data-driven management. This project will be implemented under the leadership of all top management authorities with CDXO Takahito Tokita serving as a project owner. The Deputy-CDXO Yuzuru Fukuda will lead this project.
The targets of this ambitious project represent pivotal challenges in management as well as at the operational level. The company will implement the agile methodology, design thinking, and other frameworks to overcome these persistent challenges along with taking feedback from employees as well as customers.
Fujitsu will also leverage the know-how and results gained through this DX projects in its services as solutions, contributing to the resolution of social issues by using digital technology as a partner for its clients. The company is also planning to introduce this project at its ‘Fujitsu ActivateNow’ online event, which will be held from October 14, 2020.
