Geely, Mobileye to roll out the highly anticipated Zero Concept EV

Chinese auto manufacturer, Geely Auto Group, has reportedly unveiled Zero Concept, the extremely anticipated premium EV from Lynk & Co. The new Zero Concept EV will reportedly feature Lynk & Co’s CoPilot solution supported by the Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) and Over-the-Air (OTA) upgrade capacities furnished by Mobileye Supervision.

Sources cite that the collaboration of Geely’s accelerated production capabilities and Mobileye’s SuperVision system backed by Mobileye’s leading EyeQ5 system-on-chip (SoC) will allow Geely Auto Group to furnish a new array of advanced driver-assist features to customers starting in 2021.

According to Amnon Shashua, the President and Chief Executive Officer at Mobileye, the company’s partnership with Geely is a game changer for the automotive market at the global level, given that it brings the company’s industry-leading surround-vision technology in one of the most advanced driver-assistance systems to market.

Shashua has further added that the company is excited to help Geely deliver Lynk & Co drivers a thrilling and advanced package of high-level safety features and driver aids that comprise traffic-jam assist and point-to-point highway pilot. All these are supported by Mobileye’s SuperVision driver-assistance system, which is constantly kept current using OTA upgrades, added Shashua.

Mobileye and Geely have further announced a high-volume ADAS collaboration for equipping a broad range of Geely Auto Group models and makes by deploying Mobileye’s vision-sensing technology, state sources. The companies’ long-term agreement will outfit several Geely Auto Group vehicles and brands with Mobileye-powered ADAS features comprising lane-keeping assist as well as automatic emergency braking.

An Conghui, the Chief Executive Officer of Geely Auto Group, has stated that the company had developed the Lynk & Co brand in 2016 with the objective of delivering a premium, new experience for global customers, adding that the company has provided more than 300,000 Lynk & Co units, till date, to its clientele. The company will further collaborate with Mobileye to furnish a completely new and truly unmatched driving experience in future, added Conghui.
