India’s Mindtickle bags additional USD 100 Mn, acquires unicorn status

Sales readiness platform MindTickle Inc. has become the latest unicorn after raising an additional USD 100 million in a Series E funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2. The fresh funds bring the Pune-based tech startup’s total capital raised to USD 281 million.

This latest round has more than doubled Mindtickle's valuation to USD 1.2 billion since November 2020, making it this year’s 20th unicorn from the Indian startup ecosystem. The financing round also included participation from existing investors like Norwest Venture Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, Canaan, and NewView Capital.

For the unversed, Mindtickle was founded by Nishant Mungali, Deepak Diwakar, and Krishna Depura in 2011 and helps companies to build sales capabilities including onboarding, training, working on each aspect of sales, innovating, and improving it with technology.

The financing round has come at a time when the industry demand for sales readiness technologies is flourishing.

Notably, sales enablement technologies are slated to amass USD 4.23 billion by 2027, whereas the conversation intelligence market will reach a valuation of USD 13 billion by 2025.

The clubbing of these two investment areas, according to Mindtickle, has created the sales readiness domain as revenue leaders. Sales enablement professionals are seeking to incorporate these capabilities in one place.

Krishna Depura, Co-founder, and CEO of Mindtickle said revenue leaders comprehend that sales readiness is an intrinsic component of their strategy to attain their goals. He added that they are thus partnering with revenue operations, sales enablement, and training teams to make their organizations flourish.

Mindtickle believes that its technology platform helps organizations by understanding increasing seller cognizance and skillsets, ideal sales behaviors, and including proper feedback from their meetings with customers
